Marie Moore

Marie Schultz Moore, 90, of Grove Hill passed away August 15, 2016 at Crown Health Care in Mobile. She was born February 5, 1926. A member of the Magnolia Assembly of God in Grove Hill, she was a homemaker. Along with her husband, she operated Moore's Auto Repair in Grove Hill and a cattle farm for many years. She was also a master quilter.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy West Schultz and W. Archie Schultz; her husband, Troy Lee Moore, Sr.; five brothers and five sisters.


Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Moore (Russ) Willis of Brunswick, GA, Cathy Moore (Charles) Higginbotham of Bainbridge, GA; two sons, Troy Lee Moore, Jr. of Alamogordo, NM, Harold (Jean) Moore of Grove Hill; one brother, Horace (Lorraine) Schultz; one sister, Bertie Lee Goodman, Jackson Healthcare; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.


A graveside service will be conducted on at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Mathews Cemetery in Grove Hill. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill and continue until approximately 10:45 a.m.
