Marion Hinson

Marion Ferrill Hinson, 83, of Grove Hill, passed away November 15, 2018 at his home. He was born September 9, 1935 to Frank W. Hinson, Sr. and Flossie Cumlander Hinson Fredricks. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was also a member of the DAV in Montgomery and was the oldest male member of Magnolia Assembly of God where he was very active. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and working in his body shop which he had owned for most of his adult life. He also enjoyed spending time with his large family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Frank W. Hinson, Jr., Eunice Hinson Gilchrist and great-granddaughter, Sadie Michelle Wiggins.
He is survived by his wife Alice Victoria "Vicki" Horton Hinson; children, Ferrill Nevell Hinson, Marion Edward (Tonya) Hinson, Alicia J. "Lisa" Hinson Bailey; grandchildren, Kasey Ready, Ricky Hinson, Michael (Anna) Hinson, Luke (Alicia) Hinson, Savanna (James) Gallagher, Michelle Bailey, Tori Bailey, C.J. Bailey; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with the Revs. Ed Hinson and Jonathan Hudson officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Grove Hill with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Luke Hinson, Ricky Hinson, Nicholas Booker, Lee Overton, Michael Hinson and James Gallagher.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Holton, Carl Bailey, Tim Cox and Jonathan Hudson.
