Mark Mcintyre

Mark Andrew McIntyre, 60, of Chickasaw died August 18, 2023. Mark was born September 2, 1962 to Archie and Helen McIntyre. Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle, and cousin with a wide circle of close friends. He loved music and theater and lent his beautiful baritone to choirs in Birmingham and Mobile. He was also a great animal lover who rescued and gave a loving home to many abandoned dogs during his life. His laughter could light up a room. He will be deeply missed and remembered with love.

Mark is survived by his mother, Helen Louise Johnson McIntyre; sister, Beverly McIntyre; honorary brother, Lee Gregory; niece and nephew, Megniot and Chala as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Archie McIntyre Jr. and his sister, Marcia Ellen McIntyre Whitmire.

Services will be held Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 12:30 p.m. with Perry Newton, officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Gregory, Kent Sumrall, Dennis Johnson, David Jarrell, Wesley Jarrell and Donny Barnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Jarrell, Robert Quinn, Ron Feurlein and Rob Singleton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mobile County Animal Shelter or the Mobile County SPCA.
