Martha Ann Walters, 70, of Lucedale, Mississippi, passed away at her home on June 8, 2025. Martha was born on September 27, 1954, to her parents Leonard Watts and Vera Timothy.
Martha was a member of Covenant Baptist church. One of the most fulfilling experiences of her life was participating in a mission trip sponsored by the George Green Baptist Association to North Carolina to help with the devastation there following a series of storms. She cooked, cleaned, and helped rebuild wherever she was needed and of course she made many new friends. Martha never met a stranger. She had a kind, sweet spirit and she loved people: she loved talking to absolutely everyone. Martha always had a smile on her face when you saw her. She loved life and she loved her family.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Amy DeAnn Knapp.
She is survived by her husband, Paschal I. Walters; daughter, Hayley K. (Brad) Singleton; siblings: Jimmy ( Dana) Watts, Timmy (Susie) Timothy, Andy (Jackie) Timothy, grandchildren; Ryan (Mallory) Thornton, Alexis Singleton, Amber Singleton; great grandchildren: Lily Mae Thornton, step-daughters Brittney (Ryan) Walters, Cori (Ryan) Walters; step-son Nicholas Walters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Services will be held at Howardtown Baptist Church. Visitations will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service beings at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Dean Brown and Bro. Jason Scott officiating. Interment will be follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Andy Turner, Sheldon Timothy, Billy Robinson, J-Bird Chansey, Arron Turner, and Chad Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Thornton and Bryce Powell.
