Mary Denise Reynolds, age 65, of Chatom, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving children and family on August 8, 2026. Born on September 30, 1960, Mary was a beloved daughter, mother, and friend. She spent her early years in Chatom, later graduating from Escambia County High School in Atmore, AL, before returning to her roots.

Mary enjoyed a fulfilling career as a restaurant manager at Wind Creek Casino, where she was known for her leadership and dedication. Following her retirement, she returned to Chatom, where she embraced her love for family, thrift store shopping, and the thrill of auctions. A talented seamstress, Mary created beautiful handmade items that touched the hearts of those around her. She was an avid bingo player and treasured her trips to the mountains, which brought her immense joy and serenity.

Mary leaves behind four devoted children, Heather (Troy) Garrett, Waylon (Lacy) Pace, Crystal (Haywood) Hinote, and Justin (Christin) Pace, who will forever cherish the memories of their loving mother; Her beloved grandchildren, Dylan Garrett, Jay Harris, Jared Morris, Tyler Garrett, Zachery Hare, Myles Garrett, Sam Hinote, Tristen Pace, Brailen Claborn, Henley Norton, Raylin Brown and Liliana Hartshorn; her 12 great grandchildren; brother, Carl Reynolds; aunts, Jane Carpenter and Lavon Sumner; uncle, John Hare; as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends will help her family carry on her legacy. Johnathan Gray was a special friend to her. Mary had her faith in Jesus Christ and was a woman whose spirit shone brightly in all she did, especially in the loving moments spent with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Wilson Reynolds and Mrs. Willie Reynolds; brother, Wayne Reynolds; and sister, Bobbie Boyette.

Visitation for Mary will be held publicly at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom on August 13, 2026, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Another visitation will take place at Reynolds Holiness Church on August 14, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 AM with Bro. Cornelius Phillips and Sister Naomi Brown officiating. Mary will be laid to rest Reynolds Holiness Church Cemetery, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life.

Active pallbearers will be Dylan Garrett, Myles Garrett, Tyler Garrett, Zachery Hare, Jared Morris, and Tristen Pace. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Singleton, John Hare, Vivian McLain, Nell Chason, Nick Reynolds, and Geral Reynolds. Special honorary pallbearer will be Carolyn "Faye" Lambert.

Mary Denise Reynolds will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
