Mary Jane (Brown, Ross) Knight, 90, passed away peacefully in Thomasville, AL on December 23, 2020. Born April 16, 1930 to parents, Thomas and Bazzie (Newton) Brown. “Jane-Jane,” as all of her grandchildren and close friends called her, loved sharing her faith with anyone who would listen. She was proud to have obtained her Real Estate License which led to her to a job with the Marrow Company, managing retirement housing for the company in various locations. She attended Grove Hill Baptist Church for more than 20 years and was a member of 3Circle Church for the last 10 years. She spent the last 13 years of her life living in retirement housing and a nursing home, where she made many friends and enjoyed playing Scrabble, Bingo, and other games. She loved her family and friends, and they loved her. Mary Jane will be truly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Bazzie Brown; her husband, Elvin Eugene Ross; her son, Elvin Allen Ross; grandson, Jasen Ross; granddaughter Natasha Tarleton Baggett, great-grandson, Justin Johnson; brother, Kimbro Brown; and sister, Clyde Andrews.
Survived by three of her children; Wanda (Eddie) Foster, Richard (Sheri) Ross, Brenda (Richard) Tarlton. 8 grandchildren, Henry Ross, Daniel Ross, Lee Ann Ross Crutchfield (Alex), Matthew Ross, Holly Foster Mott (Russell), Lance Foster (Melinda), Jennifer Barns Johnson (Dwight), Sherry Tarleton Greyson. 16 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild.
