Maude Taylor

Maude Evelyn Taylor, 87, of Tibbie, passed away February 3, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Taylor was born on July 27, 1933 in Yellow Pine to parents Iron and Irma Gilley Patrick. Maude was a member of Chalker Memorial UMC, she loved her community. Many remember her from when she helped at her mother’s store, Tibbie Grocery (Mrs. Irma’s), where she started working at the post office and later continued her career as the Postmaster for the town of Tibbie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Duke Taylor, brother, DW Patrick, and sister, Ruth Howard.
Survived by her daughters, Zandra (Nick) Taylor-Walseth, Shannon Shumaker, brother, George Patrick, Sisters, Sadie Burgin, Peggy (Larry) Brewer and grandchild, Taylor Fulmer.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Chalker Memorial United Methodist Church with a visitation starting at 10 a.m. with Rev. Holly Morales officiating and Lathan Funeral Home conducting.
Pallbearers will be Bob Gunter, Jon Gunter, Chase Gunter, Danny Patrick, Scottie Akridge, Brian Patrick. Honorary pallbearers, Rusty Taylor, Robert Hicks, and Byron Parnell.
