Merry Sims Sturdivant, 76, of Mobile, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born December 20, 1943 in Mobile to John W. Sims and Louise Ryals Sims. A real estate bookkeeper, she was a devoted mother who enjoyed painting watercolors and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her parents and children, Judson Lambard, Jr. and Jennifer Bailey.
She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Sturdivant; grandchildren, Judson William “Trey” Lambard, III, Morgan Brook Lambard, Jordan Tess Lambard, Rachael Claire Bailey, Sarah Jo Bailey, Naomi (Travis) Brown; great-grandchildren, Lucas Warren Lambard, Marisa Brown; brothers, Robert Sims, John (Carolyn) Sims, Jefferson L. (Sherry) Sims and numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Lambard Family Cemetery in Gainestown with the Rev. E.C. Russell officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
