Mrs. Ruby Chancey

Ruby Lee Chancey, 82, a native of Coffeeville & long time resident of Satsuma, passed away September 9, 2017 at Mobile Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born October 26, 1934 to Richard and Lena Bell Dunagan. She loved being outdoors and particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. A homemaker, she was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.



She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herman R Chancey.



She is survived by her children, Rodney (Jennifer) Chancey, Glen (Desi) Chancey, Donald (LaTrecia) Chancey, all of Satsuma; grandchildren, Rhett Chancey, Matt Chancey (Candy Harper), Mandy Chancey (Christian) Wolff, Hayley Chancey, Ryan Chancey, Kyle Chancey, Ranzie (Evan) Berggren; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Wolff, Lachlan Wolff, Jensen Berggren; siblings, Robert (Delores) Dunagan, Katherine Brooks (Fletcher Beech), Judy (Jimmy) Hudson; sisters-in-law, Margaret (John D) Knight, Loyce Chancey and numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville with the Rev. Steven Perry officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ulcanush Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Donald Chancey, Rhett Chancey, Matt Chancey, Ryan Chancey, Kyle Chancey and Robby Dunagan.
