Nancy Harrison

Nancy Harper Harrison, age 83, a native of Coffeeville, AL and long-time resident of Jackson, AL, passed at Mobile Infirmary surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. She retired as a teacher with The Washington County Board of Education, having spent her entire career at Wagarville Elementary School. She was a member of the Jackson Church of Christ. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lula Mae Harper; husband of 63 years, Oris Dicks Harrison and several siblings.
She is survived by two children, Terry Harrison and wife, Vickie and Sissy H. Reeves and husband, Kenny, all of Jackson; five grandchildren, Russell Harrison and wife, Candace of Jackson, Ryan Harrison of Jackson, Jason Reeves and wife, Brittney of Florence, AL, Jody R. Wade and husband, Walt of Mobile, and Jeremy Reeves and wife, Jennifer of Eau Claire, WI; three great-grandchildren, Avery and Dax Wade of Mobile, and Amelia Harrison of Jackson; one brother, William Harper and wife, Faye of Jackson and one sister, Leta Rae Woodham and husband, Emelle of South Daytona, FL; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy Jack and Bonnie Harrison of Sweet Water.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with ministers Brian Gentle and Jason Gambol officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers include grandsons as listed above and nephews, Drew Harper of Mobile, AL and Brad Harrison of Lexington, AL.
She will be laid to rest after the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
