Osceola Henderson

Osceola Howard Henderson, age 82, passed away September 1, 2017. Mrs. Henderson was born November 17, 1934 to the late Boyd and Lavonia Howard and was a life-long resident of Washington County. She had worked as an inspector for CAM Manufacturing in Chatom.


She is survived by her children: Gwen Byrd (Steve), Malcolm Norred (Lisa), Howard Henderson; siblings: Simon Howard, Travis Howard, Dysie Odom, Vonceil Jeffers, Ida Geranis; grandchildren: Stephanie Musgrove, Natalie Byrd, Valerie Gibson, Daniel Norred, Mallory Norred, Madison Norred; as well as 9 great grandchildren.


Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by son, George Herbert Norred, Jr., siblings: Dan Howard, Norma Day, Theodore Howard, Shirley Clarke, Bernie Howard, Leo Howard, and Preston Howard.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home, Chatom at 11:00 a.m. with the visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow in Fairhope Baptist Cemetery.
