Patricia Springer

Patricia May Sherwood Springer, 92, of Jackson, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mobile Infirmary. She was born in San Diego, CA on Friday, November 15, 1929. She was a nursing graduate of Mobile General Hospital in 1963 and devoted much of her adult life to caring for critically ill patients at USA Hospital in Mobile. She was a passionate gardener who could grow anything. She also enjoyed sewing, most any activity associated with beach life, and was affectionately known as "Pat-Pat" to her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen C. Sherwood and Mary Ruth Davis Sherwood; husband, John Springer and siblings, Geraldine Chamberlain, Charles Sherwood, Lorene Sherwood, Georgia Guillory and Laurence Sherwood.
She is survived by her daughters, Reba (Clifton) Barnes, Colleen (Wayne) Burdette; grandchildren, Jill B. (Les) Bumpers, Matthew Barnes, Logan (Anna) Barnes, Cary (Becca) Helton, Leigh (David) Helton, Chris (Melody) Burdette; great-grandchildren, Andrew Bumpers, Emma Bumpers, William Bumpers, Nolan Barnes, Maggie Helton, Molly Helton, Evan Helton, Tristian Burdette, Ryleigh Burdette; great, great-grandchild, Landon Burdette; sister, Geneve Skinner and numerous other relatives and friends.
A private family only memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
