Peggy Danley

Peggy Elaine Danley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, departed this life peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on October 21, 1951, in Grove Hill to parents Roy and Mildred Walker, Peggy grew up in the charming town of Mount Vernon, later moving back to Grove Hill, Alabama, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by love, creativity, and strong family bonds.

Peggy's nurturing spirit shone brightly throughout her life. As a devoted homemaker and talented seamstress, she found joy in her crafts and gardens, often tending to vibrant flowers that mirrored her warm personality. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment spent with her daughters-, Elaine (Chris) Childers, Paula (Neil) Beasley , and Jennifer (Ramy) Ibrahim and honorary daughter Deborah (Kenneth) Boyette-creating memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

In this time of grief, let us remember Peggy's laughter, her passion for gardening, and the gentle way she touched our lives. Her spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her, a true testament to a life well-lived.

Peggy's legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Micah Childers, Ann Marie Childers, McNeil (Tylin) Beasley, Andrew Beasley, Emma Ibrahim, and Nathanael Ibrahim, along with her great-grandchildren, Layla Childers and Olia Beasley. She leaves behind her beloved siblings: Mary Ann Stockman, Mamie (Stewart) Lynch, Retha (David) Gates, and Freddie (Rita) Walker, Sr., and sister-in-law Ida Walker, all of whom will remember her kindness and strength.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Larry Danley, parents Roy Walker, Mildred Jordan Walker, and brother Roy Walker, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Micah Childers, McNeil Beasley, Andrew Beasley, Nathanael Ibrahim, Marc Gates, and Mike Burroughs.

In lieu of flower donations may be made in Peggy's memory to Grove Hill Baptist Church Choir, where she was a faithful long-time member. 140 S. Church St. Grove Hill, AL 36451.

As friends and family gather to honor Peggy's life, visitation will be held at the Grove Hill Baptist Church on July 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM. A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 AM, Interment will be at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery.
