Peggy Jones

Peggy Jo Jones, 68, of Jackson, passed away on April 12, 2023, at her home. She was born February 4, 1955, to parents Troy and Estelle Rooney Jones. Peggy attended the Jackson public schools. She was a lifelong member of the Jackson First Baptist Church, she enjoyed the company of her friends at The ARC of Clarke County.

Preceded in death by her parents and brother Raleigh Jones.

Survived by her sister Catherine Jones, guardians Graham and Debbie Braswell, her faithful caregivers Minnie Pritchet, Catherine Jackson, and Debra Jackson, aunt Emmegene Coleman. Also her nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Jim Reid, John Jones, Barry Jones, Tom Henley, Dr. Sid Crosby, and Tony Legear.

In lieu of flowers donations may by made in her memory to The ARC of Clarke County at PO Box 100, Jackson, AL 36545 or Jackson First Baptist Church 214 College Ave., Jackson, AL 36545.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 with a visitation one hour prior to the services at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
