Robert Allen “Bob” McKee, 88, of Jackson, passed away April 9, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was born March 21, 1932 to Howard and Alma Robbins McKee in Lineville. He was an entrepreneur that started The Medical Store in Jackson and other locations around the state and operated them for 41 years. He was much loved by his staff, customers and area medical professionals. He was a member at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. He had an outgoing personality that never met a stranger. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Winnie Janet Myrick McKee and siblings, George McKee and Narvell Latham.
He is survived by his children, Lisa McKee of Manhattan, NY, Angelia McKee (Mark) Wiggins of Oxford, MS, Robbin Allan (Melissa) McKee of Jackson; grandchildren, Heather Wiggins (Jim) Moffatt, Haley Wiggins (Joseph) Murphy, Erin McKee (Chris) Hayes, Brittnie McKee (Taylor) DeBerry, Caleb (Lane) McKee and great-grandchildren, Lawson Moffatt, Myrick Moffatt, Cole Murphy, Grey Murphy, Owen Murphy, Charlie Renay McKee and brothers, Gary (Lynn) McKee and James McKee.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Coffeeville Town Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Jemison officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jim Moffatt, Joseph Murphy, Jim Slayton, Larry Jones, Caleb McKee and Chris Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Regional Child Advocacy Center in Grove Hill.
