Roderick Lee “Rocky” Wolfe, 81, of Grove Hill, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Jackson Medical Center. He was born in Daphne on January 10, 1939 to Benjamin H. Wolfe and Katherine Nelson Wolfe. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was also a retired training manager with Olin Chemical and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Grove Hill. He was also a past Grand Master Mason with Caribbean Lodge in Guantanamo and enjoyed hunting, welding and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Gary Ivey.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie G. Wolfe; children, Roderick L. Wolfe, Jr., Scott Wolfe, Robert J (Frances) Ivey, Brian (DeAnna) Ivey; grandchildren, Benjamin (Christina) Wolfe, Robby Rockwell, Derek (Kelly) Bruhl, Anna (Kevin) Ritz, Robyn (Barrett) Tynes, Peyton (Trey) Atkins, Libby Ivey; nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Nancy (David) Parquette and numerous other relatives and friends.
Private funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Chancey officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the church Facebook page. A public graveside service will be conducted in the church cemetery at 2:30 p.m. in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Anderson, Trey Atkins, Derek Bruhl, Barrett Tynes, Reece Tynes and Ben Wolfe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Brown, Jeff Overstreet, Arli Ashley, Charles Pritchett, and Harry Butler.
