Roland "R.L." Guy passed away on July 29, 2026. He was born on February 25,1939, to parents Ivy and Mamie Courtney Guy. R.L. grew up in West Bend and in high school he excelled in football and was All-State 2 years in a row. R.L. proudly served in the United States Navy in Viet Nam in the Navy's elite special forces unit. He loved fishing, watching Alabama football, and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Odell, his sister Shirley, and his wife Jacquelyn.

R.L. is survived by his loving life partner Inez Beck, son Roland Lee Guy, Sr., stepdaughters Jennifer Hemphill and Terri Jordan; grandchildren Christina (Jason) Thornton, Roland Lee Guy, Jr., Dustin Guy, Jessica (Cory) Ladner, Jessie Guy, Alana Hemphill, great grandchildren William Austin, Marcus Ladner, McKenzie Ladner, Maya Guy, Jackie Guy, Mary Faith Guy, Helen Guy, Rayleigh Guy, and his brother Randy Guy.
