Roy Larry
Robinson
March 27, 1948 – June 10, 2026
Roy Larry Robinson, lovingly known to family and friends as Larry, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on March 27, 1948, Larry was raised in Jackson, Alabama, a community he proudly called home. He graduated from Jackson High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served aboard the Huey helicopter, demonstrating courage and dedication during a pivotal time in our nation's history.
Following his military service, Larry built a long and successful career, retiring from UPS after many years of faithful work. He also spent time working at Dollywood, where he continued to make lasting friendships and touch the lives of those around him.
A man of many talents, Larry could take apart almost any engine and put it back together again. His mechanical abilities were admired by all who knew him, and there was rarely a problem he couldn't solve with his hands and determination.
Larry found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, baseball, and cheering on Alabama football. He was a gifted storyteller whose stories, humor, and wisdom could captivate a room and leave lasting memories for everyone listening.
Most importantly, Larry was a man of deep faith. He served faithfully as a deacon and loved the Lord with all his heart. His Christian faith guided his life and was evident in the kindness, humility, and compassion he showed to others. He was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His family was one of his greatest blessings, and he never missed an opportunity to express his love and pride in them.
Larry will be remembered as an all-around precious person, a faithful servant, a proud veteran, a hardworking provider, a gifted storyteller, a talented mechanic, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering faith left an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.
Larry's family finds comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, whom he loved and served throughout his life.
