Ruby Powell

Ruby Gray Powell, 91, of Grove Hill passed away on January 14, 2022. She was born February 9, 1930, to parents Johnson and Carol Haskew Criswell. Mrs. Powell was proud to be a homemaker, she loved caring for her family and making sure they were always taken care of.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Henri Powell, parents, and brother James Criswell.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Kossie Ray Powell, Jimmy (Dot) Powell, Michael Gene (Debbie) Powell, and Dennis (Marsha) Powell. Brother, Willie Clyde Criswell, sisters, JoAnn Criswell Skipworth, and Betty Criswell Smith. 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and also a host of nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly, along with many friends and their families, whom she loved as her own.

Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. Rev. Kathy McKinley and Keith Skipworth officiating and Lathan Funeral Home Directing.
