Sarah Pezent

Sarah Brown Pezent, 90, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Jackson Health Care Facility. She was born in Clarke County, Alabama on March 23, 1927.



She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and of the Order of the Eastern Star.



Preceding her in death was her husband of almost fifty years, John Tollie Brown and her second husband, Joseph Pezent and two of her sons, James T. Brown and Ronald R. Brown.



Surviving her are three sons and their wivesBill and Susie Brown, Michael and Sallie Brown, and Gene and Belinda Brown and her two daughters-in-law, Vivian Brown and Diane Brown.



She was "Maw-Maw" to her grandchildren and their spouses: Melissa and Tony Benton, JT Brown, Joanna and John Lemmon, Amy and Mike Wathen, Sissy and Bobby Smith, Sarah Nicholson, Elizabeth and Allen Lingerfelt, Carson and Cara Brown, Edward and Stephanie Brown, Mark and Nicole Overstreet, Jason Brown, Cory and Kirsten Brown, Mark and Juliana Crager, Greg and Mariana Crager, Heather Brown, and April and James Fleming. And also to the twenty-nine great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be Monday, October 9, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be her grandsons: JT Brown, Carson Brown, Edward Brown, Jason Brown, and Cory Brown, great-grandson Tyler Brown, and nephews Danny Overton, and Joe Reeves.



Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Fund at Antioch Baptist Church, Jackson, Alabama.
