Scotty Lamar Allday, 50, of Jackson passed away January 10, 2023. Scotty was born May 22,1972 to Grady and Nickie Alday. Scotty enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and golfing. In his younger days he enjoyed playing softball. Building things and woodcarving were also favored pastimes but riding 4-wheelers with his children was one of his all-time favorite activities. Scotty was a loving and caring son, father and friend who will be dearly missed by many.
Scotty is survived by his children, Tony Alday and Autumn Alday; parents, Grady and Nickie Alday; nephew, Chance Alday; niece, Alyssa Alday; grandmother, Dot Chastain and several other relatives and many friends.
He is preceeded in death by his brother, Woody Alday; grandparents Coleman Chastain, Jim Alday and Flossie Alday.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Bro. John David Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior, beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the funeral service in Bethel Cemetery at Chastain Hill in Jackson.
Active pallbearers will be Lee Hutto, Mike Barton, BJ Garrick, Jason Harrell, Wayne Browning and Bryan Starks.
