Shandra Hill

Shandra C. Hill, 59, of Grove Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born November 26, 1960 to Emmitt and Carolyn Hutto Criswell. Shan worked at several medical offices in the area but she enjoyed the time spent working for the local ambulance services the most. The time with her family and being outdoors is what she truly enjoyed the most, fishing on the river, camping, spending time at the beach, and most of all hopping on the lawn mower and taking care of her yard.

She is survived by her husband, Graylin Hill, daughter Nikki Gaines; grandchildren, Braxton (Victoria Nichols) Powell, Katherine Powell; great-grandchild Emersyn Powell. Brother, Mark (Beth) Criswell, and his family who were like her own children; Russell (Jamie) Criswell, Will (Kemp) Criswell, Brian (Ashley Gay) Criswell, and dear friend Doris Kelley.

At Shan’s request please wear something bright and colorful to her service- as a tribute to her wonderful life lived.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Springfield Methodist Protestant Church (3087 Sandflat Rd) with Rev. Nate Ballard officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the service begins. Interment will follow the service at Henley Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
