Sheridan Henson

Sheridan "Sherrie" McCulley Henson, 65, a native of Wagarville and longtime resident of Nederland, TX, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Houston, TX. She was born October 6, 1953 to James and Ruth McCulley in Chatom. She worked for many years, but she spent her last years as a homemaker, caring for her granddaughter and husband and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and cross stitch.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Erma Ruth Harris, JD McCulley, Aaron McCulley, Doris Nichols, Horace McCulley, Jeanette Van Schroder, Richard McCulley, Roy McCulley and many other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Chris Henson; daughters, Shelley Johnston Villar, Nicole Henson; grandchildren, Leigha, Chloe, Ethan and siblings, Henry (Linda) McCulley and Val (Jeff) Lankford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Wagarville with the Rev. Phillip Howard officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
