Obituary

Sherry M. Laurie, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2026. Born on July 12, 1948, Sherry lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Sherry is survived by her loving children, Shane Page (Ashli), Dana Page, and Shelly Stone (Jesse). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Hannah Lewis (Ross), Alex Black (Hannah), Josie Page, Sophie Page, and Oaklyn Stone. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Grant Black, Emma Lewis, Elliot Lewis, Ethan Lewis, and Eli Lewis.

Affectionately known as "Gran" by family and friends, Sherry possessed a warm and welcoming spirit that made everyone feel at home. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Despite hardship, she remained focused on the blessing of life and found joy in the moments spent with those she loved.

Family was the center of Sherry's world. She treasured every opportunity to gather with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, finding her greatest happiness in the role of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also found peace and fulfillment in tending her flowers, spending time outdoors, and caring for God's creatures. Even the simple act of rescuing turtles and other small animals brought her immense joy.

Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sammy J. Laurie, to whom she remained deeply devoted throughout her life. Their enduring love and commitment continue to inspire all who knew them.

Though she will be profoundly missed, Sherry's legacy of love, strength, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and countless friends. The treasured memories she leaves behind will be a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Sherry's family celebrates a life beautifully lived and a woman deeply loved. May she rest in eternal peace.
