Shirley Stoudenmire

Shirley Louise Stoudenmire, 81, of Jackson, passed away November 25, 2023, at SAAD Hospice in Mobile. She was born March 5, 1942, to parents Rufus A. and Etta L. Gartman Reeves. She was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Jackson. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she always taught her family to put God first. She was a caregiver to her family and loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and enjoyed their company when they came to visit.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Davis Stoudenmire, and her parents Rufus and Etta Reeves.

She is survived by her children, Cindy (Stuart) Moss, Chris (James) Stoudenmire, Kelly Stoudenmire; grandchildren, Lance Baldwin, Aaron (Chelsea) Baldwin; great grandchildren, Crete, Mattie, and Ellie Baldwin, brother; Holland (Judy) Reeves, also other special friends, and family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday December 1, 2023, at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, with David Moss officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Reeves, Bobby Brooks, Gerald Reeves, Aaron Baldwin, Lance Baldwin, and James Sarhan, honorary pallbearer Billy Jones. Online condolences may be shared at www.lathanfuneralhome.com
