Sonya Younge

Jade Taylor Younge, 52, of Chatom, passed away Monday, August 18, 2021 at Washington County Hospital. She was born in Chatom on August 29, 1968 to H.B. Taylor and Lena Yvonne Beech Taylor. She was a registered nurse who loved her profession for the satisfaction it brought in caring for others, and she had worked most recently as the Director of Nurses at Washington County Hospital. She also enjoyed outdoor activities, including fishing and riding four-wheelers. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially watching The University of Alabama football games.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Yvonne Beech Taylor and sister, Kelly Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Kent Younge; daughters, Kaleigh Younge, Autumn Younge, Allyson Younge, Madison Younge; father, H.B. Taylor; brother, Thad Taylor and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom.
