Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Milford Bradley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, who departed this life on June 14, 2026, at the age of 71. Steve was born on November 9, 1954, in New Jersey, to his parents Clyde Milford and Peggie Bray Bradley. Steve would go on to make his mark in the judicial system as a dedicated court reporter for the First Judicial Circuit in Alabama. He was known for his attention to detail and commitment to the pursuit of justice.

Steve's passion extended beyond his career; he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking delicious meals, nurturing his vibrant garden, and sharing his love of music with those around him. He embodied warmth and generosity, making every gathering special.

For 32 wonderful years, Steve was happily married to his soulmate, Jackie Bradley. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to true partnership and friendship.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents and his son Dylan Milford Bradley.

He is survived by his wife Jackie Bradley; his children Chris Williams, Shawn Bradley, Ben Bradley, and Ginny Bradley Moore; brothers David (Linda) Bradley and Keith (Teresa) Bradley, 11 grandchildren, many extended family members and loving friends.

To honor Steve's life, we invite friends and family to join us for a public visitation at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, Alabama on June 25, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM, celebrating the joyful moments and cherished memories we all shared with Steve. At 2:00 PM, we will hold a graveside service at Trinity Memorial Gardens, where we will lay him to rest.

Steve will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
