Tabitha Baggett

Tabitha Baxter Baggett, also known as Tabby Jo and Coach B, 40, from St. Stephens, passed away on May 29, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on May 19, 1985 in Mobile, Alabama to Clay and Lisa Brown Baxter.

Tabitha graduated from Fruitdale High School in 2003 and from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She grew up in Deer Park with her parents and three sisters. In 2007, Tabitha married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth and they have two boys.

Tabitha spent her entire teaching and coaching career at Leroy High School. Along with her love for softball she enjoyed new adventures.....a trip to Gatlinburg or a new roller coaster ride. Tabitha was full of life, she had the brightest smile, and the most amazing hug you didn't know you needed.

She is preceded in death by grandparents Dan and Carolyn Brown and Allen and Catherine Baxter.

Left to cherish Tabitha's memory is her husband Kenneth Baggett and their sons, Catcher and Kannon. Her parents, Clay and Lisa Baxter; sisters, Rachel (Casey) Dunn, Sydney (Alan) Webb, Courtney (Josh) Garland; nieces and nephews Jacob, Tess, Silas, Sadie, Finn and Olivia. Goddaughter Gracie Mitchell. Also, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and loving friends.

Her family was extended because of the game of softball through her teammates (ball sisters), her players, opposing coaches and players, and countless other bonds that she has developed along the way.

Tabitha was dearly loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed. She is truly a LEGEND.

Please join us in celebrating her life at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Leroy First Baptist Church, a visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the start of the service.
