Watrous Garrett

Theodore Watrous Garrett Jr., 76, of Grove Hill, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9. He was born on May 31, 1948, to parents Theodore Watrous and Bernice May Garrett Sr., in Grove Hill, AL. Watrous graduated from Clarke County High School and later Birmingham Southern then University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Masters in Geology. He was employed by Exxon Oil Company in 1973, he had a highly successful career in an industry he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting deer and wild turkey, he had many adventurous trips around the country.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Survived by his wife of 38 years; Claire Garrett, many cousins, care giver and friend Zelda Armstead, extended family, and loving friends.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Grove Hill Town Cemetery with Bro. Randy Boone officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
