It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas D. Few, a cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on April 7, 2026, at his home in Jackson. Born on October 28, 1949, Thomas was a dedicated electrician who proudly served for many years at AEC, retiring after decades of commitment to his profession.
As a member of the Jackson Church of Christ, Thomas held strong values and built rich relationships within his community. He was also a proud lifetime member of the NRA and had a deep passion for firearms and gun safety, which he eagerly shared with his family, friends, and anyone who showed interest in hunting.
Known affectionately as "Evergreen Flash" on CB radio, he found joy in connecting with others through his love of communication. Thomas was never happier than when surrounded by nature-he enjoyed his time on the river, at the creek, hunting, and fishing, demonstrating an innate bond with the woods and wildlife. He often spent time outdoors with his beloved dog, Bobo. His gentle spirit resonated with animals, who were drawn to him, and he took great pleasure in feeding the deer and watching the birds in his meticulously maintained yard. Thomas also meticulously maintained his large garden with straight rows and not a weed in sight to ensure a bountiful crop.
Thomas was a devoted caregiver to his beloved wife, Pam, remaining by her side until her last breath. He was lovingly known as "Pappy" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thomas was known for touching the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. With a penchant for humor, he was always ready with a quick one-liner that brought a smile to the faces of those around him.
He had a notorious sweet tooth, his family often joked about him keeping Little Debbie in business with his love for sweet cakes. Thomas will be remembered not only for his strength and kindness but also for his light-hearted spirit and dedication to his family and friends.
Thomas was greeted in heaven by his parents, Thomas Jessie and Mary Doris Few; beloved wife of 57 years, Pam Few; son, Bryan Few; brother-in-law, Gary Sinclair; and mother-in-law, Nell Smith.
He is survived by his son, Josh Few (Lara); daughter-in-law, Christi Few (wife of Thomas's late son, Bryan Few); bonus son, Scott Shaw; grandchildren, Candice Hayes (Travis) and Walton Thomas Few (Caleigh); great grandchildren, Madelyn Hayes, Trevor Hayes, Clara Kate Harrell, Ella Hayes, and Elson Few; life-long friend and bonus family member, Bro. Don Delukie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held in his honor at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery on April 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM with Bro. Jason Gamble and Bro. Don Delukie officiating. There his friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and legacy. He will be laid to rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Active pallbearers will be Gavin Jordan, Johnny Pace, Bud Parnell, Scott Shaw, Russ Jones, and Luke Pritchett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Henley Hoven, Donna Matthews, and Bro. Don Delukie.
Rest in peace, Thomas D. Few. You will be deeply missed.
