Tilmon Paul

Tilmon Tarleton "T.T." Paul, 92, of Grove Hill, passed away April 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1927 to Oscar and Alice Tarleton Paul in Grove Hill. A member at Union Baptist Church in Grove Hill, he had also been an active part of the Union Baptist Brotherhood and the Masonic Lodge. He had owned three service stations in Mobile prior to moving back to Grove Hill where he worked with his brother, Hybard Paul, at Dumas Church Manufacturing. He loved being of assistance to his neighbors and often volunteered to help with mechanic work and other chores and enjoyed spending time outdoors cutting grass and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Overton Paul; daughters, Valerie Nicholas, Beckie Dunham; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great, great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 22. 2019 at Union Baptist Church in Grove Hill with Rev. Randy Davis and Claude Agee officiating. Music will be provided by Janice Jones and the service will be directed by Lathan Funeral Home.
