Timothy Forehand

Timothy Wayne Forehand met his Savior Monday, March 28, 2022, in Grove Hill. He was born July 24, 1966. Tim graduated from Ensley High School and Samford University. He served in various churches in the Birmingham area. He was currently the beloved pastor of Bassett Creek Baptist Church in Grove Hill, Alabama.
Tim loved Jesus and loved his family fully. He loved spending time with them and filled their home with laughter daily. He was a wonderful musician and loved rocking out on his guitars (although he considered himself the "world's okayest guitar player"). Tim was what you would call an "avid indoorsman" and enjoyed watching marathons of NCIS and Hawaii 5-0 (known as 5-0 Fridays) in the Forehand household. Most of all, he loved the Lord and loved serving the Lord. He had a heart for young people and felt called to minister to youth and college age although he had a gift for ministering to everyone he met. Tim could light up a room and just his smile alone was able to brighten everyone's day. He loved to laugh and make you laugh. To know him, was to love him and man oh man, we love him. There is an empty spot in our living room, an empty spot at our dining table, and an empty spot in our hearts. We can only get through this tough time knowing that he is reunited with his parents and brother and that he is rejoicing and praising his Heavenly Father. This is the peace that passes all understanding.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Best Forehand; his precious children Noah, Madilyn, and Levi; his sisters, Dianne Caldwell (Eddie) and Nancy Groover; his brother, Pete Forehand (Dottie); sister-in-law, Gloria Forehand as well as many other family and friends that he loved so much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. O. A. Forehand and Aleen Forehand, and his brother, Sherman Forehand.
Funeral services will be conducted on April 4, 2022, at First Baptist Trussville. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm. The Revs. Mike Stevens and Craig Odem will be officiating, and Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill will direct.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Cater, Keith Early, Dale Forehand, Dave Forehand, Stan Forehand, Casey Jones, Craig Newton and Jay Reed.
