Tj Brown

Thomas James "T.J." Brown, Jr., 93, of Millry, passed away February 28, 2019 at his residence. He was born September 18, 1925 to Thomas James Brown, Sr. and Caudia Carpenter Brown in Barlow. He had been employee with U.S. Air Force Civil Service and served on the Washington County School Board for 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dolly M. Brown; granddaughter, Erin Estvold; two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Shaw Brown; children, Greg (Diane) Brown, Theresa (William) McLaughlin; grandchildren, Kelly Brown, Christy (Paul) Hollinghead; great-grandchildren, Garrett Hollinghead, Alex Brown; brother, Chuck (Janie) Brown; sister, Doris (Curtis) Stokley and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Barlow United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jerry Taylor and Nick Williams officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Barlow United Methodist Church.
