Willie Turner, Sr

Willie Paul Turner Sr. died April 7, 2018. Mr. Turner was born October 4, 1940 to the late Alex and Mary Lou Carpenter Turner. He was a resident of Sunflower where he owned and operated Turner Trucking for 35 years, after retiring from Ciba-Geigy, which he worked for 27 years in the maintenance department.
Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Norma ‘Tiny' Faye Turner of Sunflower, son, Willie P. ‘Bill' Turner Jr., daughters, Nancy (Doug Busby) Mason, and Tina Guy. Step children; Walter Malone (Linda) Williams, Aubrey Lee Williams, Janet Faye (David) McDaris, Ernest Michael (Madelyn) Williams. 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brothers; Sam (Mert) Turner, Jesse (Essie) Turner.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his first wife Willie ‘Louise' Turner. Sister Betty Roney, brothers, Tom Turner, Joe Turner, and son-in-law Blaine Guy.
Graveside services will be at 1 pm on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Cathedral of Praise cemetery in Sunflower. Rev. James Carpenter officiating, funeral directors, Lathan Funeral Home.
