Willie "Pete" Jackson

Willie Clyde "Pete" Jackson, 73, of Coffeeville, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at Jackson Health Care Facility. He was born on Monday, May 2, 1949 in Clarke County to Johnnie I. Jackson and Emogene Langham Jackson. Pete never married, but he enjoyed large family gatherings, especially when a large meal was to be served as he loved to eat. He also enjoyed watching television, especially old westerns. He was a faithful member at The First Assembly of God Church in Jackson until his health failed several years ago when he moved to the Jackson Health Care Facility where he enjoyed socializing with other residents.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Jackson, Jerry Wayne Jackson and sisters-in-law, Donnie Jackson and Dollie Jackson.
He is survived by his brothers, Donald Jackson, Charles Jackson; sister, Barbara (James) Silda; sister-in-law, Evelyn Jackson and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Grace Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Renea Henderson officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be in the church beginning at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Basil Jackson, Darrell Jackson, Jim Jackson, Jody James, Josh James and Joe Overstreet.
