She loved traveling, especially vacations that included the whole family. Some of her favorite travel spots included Helen, GA, Gatlinburg, TN, Destin, FL, and Branson, MO. She was a lifetime member of Bassett Creek Baptist Church. She served as church treasurer, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School classes for all ages until her health declined in recent years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Wayne “Jack” Buckalew; her parents, Henry Lee and Minnie Rebecca Hudson and siblings, Elma Ogle and Lavoyd “Son” Hudson.
